Overview
The Company details section on your home page shows what your accountant holds on record for your company: its company number, registered office, year end and tax references. It is the quickest place to find your UTR or VAT number when a form asks for it, and the place to tell your accountant if one is missing or wrong.
Copying Your Details
Click the copy icon next to any value to copy it. To copy your company name, company number, VAT number and registered office in one go, for a supplier form or an invoice template, click Copy details.
Viewing Your UTR and Other References
Your VAT number is shown in full. Your UTR, PAYE reference, Accounts Office reference and CIS reference are partly hidden. Click the eye icon next to one to show it in full, and the copy icon to copy it.
Adding a Missing Reference or Suggesting a Correction
If a reference shows Not on file, or the one shown is wrong, you can send your accountant the right one.
- 1Click Add next to the missing reference, or Suggest change next to the wrong one
- 2Type the reference. A hint underneath says what it looks like and where to find it, for example a UTR is 10 digits from a letter from HMRC
- 3Click Send to your accountant
Your suggestion shows as Awaiting review until your accountant checks it. Once they accept it, it becomes the reference on your record. If you sent it by mistake, click Withdraw.
If your accountant can't use your suggestion, the reason shows under the reference. Check it and click Try again to send another.
